Richard Ruf, 89, of Route 1, Athens, died Saturday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
The funeral will be Monday at 2 p.m. at McConnell Funeral Home chapel with burial in Germantown Cemetery.
Mr. Ruf was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Zora Ruf; a son, Hubert Ruf of Athens; two daughters, Opal Aycock and Gladys Campbell, both of Athens; two brothers, Carl Ruf of Elkmont and Willie Ruf of Athens; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
*He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fleecy McSherry Ruf in 1960.
