Barbara Lucille (Goodwin) Adams was the last child of 6 children. She was the daughter of James Newton Goodwin and Martha Eudora "Dora" (Davis) Goodwin. She grew up in Arkansas. On May 2, 1936 she married Raymond M. Adams. They settled in Kensett, White County, Arkansas. They raised 3 children. 2 girls and one boy. They would later move to Kokomo, Indiana where she gained employment at Delco Radio a division of General Motors. Her husband Raymond worked for Orkin Pesticides. After retirement, Raymond and Barbara moved to Florida and made it there permanent home. Her husband Raymond had a lawn business while in Florida. They both enjoyed going to the dog races and Barbara made it her passion to always talk to the dog owners/trainers while at the racetracks.
