Delores Jean Harper, 73, of Champaign died 6:41 a.m. Dec. 17, 2007, at Champaign County Nursing Home in Urbana.

Funeral services will be at Owens Funeral Home (101 N. Elm St.) in Champaign at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007. There will be a visitation one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Rich Tomlinson will officiate. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens in Champaign.

Delores was born Dec. 29, 1933, in Urbana, a daughter of Aden and Ruth (Barnett) Wood. She married William Harper on Sept. 20, 1951, in Urbana.

Survivors include three daughters, Janet (Chuck) Bright and Joyce (Brent) Felt, both of Champaign, and Judy (Bob) Rahn of Philo; six grandchildren, Patrick and Michael Bright of Champaign, Adam and Kathryn Rahn of Philo and Natalie and Stephanie Goslin of Fisher and three brothers, David (Vivian) Wood of Homewood, Bill (Joyce) Wood of Gold Canyon, Arizona and Richard Wood of Thomasboro.

She was preceded in death by both parents, three sons, Russell and Steve Harper and an infant, two sisters and a brother.

She spent most of her adult life as a homemaker, and in earlier years, enjoyed camping, fishing and reading.
