"Lizzie" was born 25 May 1851 on the old farm in Dhuloch, Kirkcolm Parish, Wigtownshire, Scotland. Her family departed Scotland in 1856 and settled in Henderson Co., Ill. Later they lived on a farm northwest of Winterset in Madison Co., Ia. She married Samuel Allison Graham 3 Jun 1869 at the Macksburg United Presbyterian Church.
Their children were William Allison, Thomas Edward, Robert Culbertson, Lillie Maude, Elizabeth Mary, Jane Grace, Walter Nelson, and Samuel Roscoe.
Samuel [husband] died in Adair Co., Ia. on 1 Oct 1931, followed closely by the death of Lizzie on 12 Jun 1932. Both are buried in Orient Cemetery, Orient, Ia.
