Mr. Wilkins who had been ill past eight months, died Monday morning at his home.
Body bearers were Raymond DeWolfe, Walter Brakeman, Don Krans, Everett Pittard, Tom Page and Wayne Martin, all of LaFayette.
Mr. Wilkins was a son of James and Sophronia Johnson Wilkins and was born September 26, 1876, near Williamsfield.
He was married March 6, 1900, to Miss Etta Pennington, ceremony taking place at Galesburg. They were parents of two children, William Wilkins of Carthage and Mrs. Nina Jones, who died about 15 months ago
Mr. Wilkins was a retired farmer. He was a member of LaFayette Methodist Church.
Besides his wife and son, he is also survived by a granddaughter, Miss Sandra Wilkins of Carthage and a sister, Mrs. Susan Hochstrasser, of DesPlaines.
Two brothers and a sister preceded him in death.
