A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Allenville Christian Church, immediately following the service there will be a meal and time for fellowship at the church that will end at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the March of Dimes: March of Dimes Donation Processing Center P.O. She was born on September 6, 1943, the youngest of 7 children born to Berthol D. and Myrtie (Burtcheard) Bathe. She was employed many years at Brown Shoe Co. and E.J. Brach Candy Co. and later retired from Panama City University. She married Don Bishop on June 29, 1963 and they had 3 children, Tracy, Steve and Lee.
Joan is survived by her husband Don, sons, Steve (Nancy) Bishop from Atlanta, GA., Lee Bishop from Sullivan, IL. 3 Grandchildren, Nick Bishop, Trey Bishop, and Stephen Bishop. Sisters, Audrey England of Allenville and Mayme Knox of rural Sullivan, several nieces and nephews.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Tracy, 3 brothers and 1 sister.
Joan was a very loving and lovable human being, and will be greatly missed.
