He is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Hazel Miller Hight; one son, Robert Preston "Bobby" Hight Jr. and his wife Nancy of Roseland; one daughter, Ellen Catherine Hight, also of Roseland; one brother, James A. Hight of Front Royal; one sister, Edna E. Schlosser of California; one granddaughter, Rebecca Hight Miles and husband Gary; two step-grandchildren, Bonnie and Julie Childs; two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Leah Galligher; two stepgreat-granchildren, Blayke and Kaitlyn Miles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Henry Hight; and a sister, Mary H. Creasy.
Funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, January 4, at Byrum-Parr Funeral Home by the Rev. Robert Smith, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. The family is receiving friends at his home.
