Lucille Villard, age 85, the former Lucille Angelle, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 11:30 a.m. at River Oaks Retirement Manor in Lafayette. Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Carencro. Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Chapel, 4117 N. University Ave., Carencro, is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Villard, born October 26, 1922, was a native of Cecilia, LA and a lifelong resident of Carencro. She was a parishioner of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro and had been a member of the Bonne Mort Society and the St. Ann Society.
Survivors include two sons, Robert Villard and Richard Villard and his wife, Dawn, all of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Mallory Villard, Brice Villard, Justin Villard, and Blake Villard; and two sisters, Lillian Trosclair and her husband, Gene, and Mollie Domingue and her husband, Fred, all of Scott.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard J. Villard; her parents, Moise Angelle and the former Eldvige Hollier; three brothers, Moise Angelle, Jr., Antoine Angelle, and Rodney Angelle; and one sister, Anna Lou Stemmans.
