John Luke Hendrix, oldest child of William and Celia Dowell Hendrix born May 20, 1876 and died May 4, 1973 in Seminole Rest Home, Seminole, Okla.
Being the last of his family, he was preceded in death by his wife, who died Sept. 29, 1966; his parents; two brothers, Will and Dick Hendrix; two half-brothers, Frank and Walter Hendrix; three half sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Brown, Mrs. Mant Lemon and Elizabeth Hendrix.
Funeral services were held Monday at the Sommerville, Swearinger, Arnhard Funeral Home. Burial was in Oklahoma.
His only survivors are nieces and nephews.
