FUNERAL SERVICES FOR MR. HENDRIX, 91, CONDUCTED FRI.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 16, for Richard Milton Hendrix, 91, at the Curryville Baptist Church. The church pastor, Rev. Weldon Frazee officiated, assisted by Rev. Gary Belfore, pastor of the South Side Baptist Church of Vandalia.

Music was furnished by the church choir, which sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "In The Garden". Phyllis Frazee organist and Sharla Love, pianist.

Richard Milton Hendrix, son of William and Celia Dowell Hendrix was born May 30, 1881 at Spencerburg. He died June 14 at the Moore-Pike Rest Home in Bowling Green.

ON Sept. 2, 1907 he was married to Effie May Kendrick at Adrain, Minn. Mr. Hendrix spent most of his life in the Curryville community. He was a retired farmer and livestock dealer.

Survivors include one son, Lewis Hendrix; one daughter, Mrs. J.D. (Opeal Deane) Bowles, both of Vandalia; a brother, John Hendrix, 96, of Seminole, Okla.; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; one daughter, Frances Delores; a brother, Will Hendrix; two half-brothers, Walter and Frank Hendrix; three half-sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Brown, Mrs. Les (Mant) Lemon and Miss Mayme Hendrix and a grandson, Larry Hendrix.

Burial was in Curryville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Billy Joe Hendrix, Jimmy Stevens, Floyd Hearn, Rex Dean, Elgin Lewis and Jay Flansburg.
