East Liverpool, Ohio- Sandra Vene Hubbard Gray, 76, of May Road passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at 12:20 a.m. at the Calcutta Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.

Born February 4, 1945 in Chester, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Eugene and Pearl Allison Hubbard. A lifelong area resident, she once worked at the Homer Laughlin China Company in Newell, West Virginia and then she did Home Health Care. She was a member of the Campground Community Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Sandy was an avid bowler, liked to crochet, but most of all she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Robert W. Gray, Jr., whom she married March 12, 1962, at home. There are three daughters, Melinda Sue Woodard and her husband, Chris of Grove Port, Ohio, Robin Kathryn Finley and her husband, Dan of Rustburg, Virginia and Mary Rebecca Smith and her husband, Mike of Austintown, Ohio; and one son, Robert David Gray and his wife, Becky of Ashville, Ohio.

In addition, she also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, Sandy was also preceded in death by one daughter, Sheila Jane White; and eight sisters and brothers.

Friends may visit the family on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home in East Liverpool, Ohio. Pastor Tom Adkins of the church will officiate a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
