John Owen was the son of Samuel & Margery (Saunders) Owen. He married Rebecca Compton on 1 Apr 1824 and they had six children. After Rebecca died in 1840 he married Tamer Wilson on 31 May 1843. Together they had one daughter. After Tamer died in 1846 he married Mary C. Furnas on 19 January 1848 and they had no children.
