Charles departed Liverpool, England on March 25, 1911 and arrived at Ellis Island, New York on April 3, 1911 then traveled to Oriskany Falls, New York to continue farming. Prior to sailing he had lived at Kems Farm, Attleborough, Nuneaton, England He returned to Kems Farm England on Jan 15, 1920 to visit his Mother.
He returned to New York July 1922.
On June 20, 1925 Charles married Edith Hannah Allman at Rome, New York and they farmed at Munnsville, New York. They retired to Satellite Beach, Florida in 1967. In 1973 his ashes, along with Edith's were scattered at their Old Farm in Stockbridge, Madison, New York
