He was BORN 4/7/1923 and had been County Clerk of Milam Co. for 25 years and was reelected in the May 1 Democratic Primary as an unopposed candidate (his wife finished his term.). Served in WW-2, member of United Church of Christ of Ben Arnold and also, the Edwin Hardy Post No. 9 of the American Legion.
