Walter Augustus Crawford Sr., well known painter and interior decorator, died at his home, 111 West Fifth street, Saturday at 4 p. m., aged 67 years.
He was a son of the late John R. and Mary C. O'Brien Crawford and was a member of All Saints Episcopal church. Mr. Crawford owned and operated his painting and decorating business.
Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Mary C. Cole Crawford; four children, Walter A. Crawford, Jr., near this city; John E. Crawford Sr., Mrs. Casper F. Betson, Sr., both of this city, and James F. Crawford, Huntington, W. Va.; two brothers and a sister, Albert I. Crawford, this city; Meredith A. Crawford, Edgemont road and Mrs. Irving Shuffler, this city. Five grandchildren, one step-grandson and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The body is at the funeral home, 106 East Church street, where friends may call after 1 p.m. today. Funeral service will be held at the funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. Interment in Mount Olivet cemetery. M. R. Etchison and Son, funeral director.
