Mr. Fordyce was born May 2, 1905 near Bluff, Jackson Township, the son of Mrs. Mary Longstreth Fordyce, of Waynesburg, and the late Jacob G. Fordyce.
Most of his life was spent at Waynesburg where he was a member of the First Christian Church.
He served with the 630th Field Artillery, U.S. Army during World War II, having been involved in seven main battles in the European and African Theaters. He was also the recipient of the Bronze Star.
He was a painter by occupation and a member of the James Farrell American Legion Post, Waynesburg, 330.
Funeral services were held Saturday with burial in Rosemont Cemetery.
