Carl C. (Pone) Fordyce, 84, of Waynesburg R.D. 3, died at 1:05 P.M. Wednesday, September 8, 1993, in Veteran's Administration Hospital, Oakland, following an illness of four months.
He was born December 30, 1908, in Center Township, Greene County, a son of Jacob and Mary Longstreth Fordyce.
Mr. Fordyce lived his entire life in Greene County. He was a graduate of Waynesburg High School.
Mr. Fordyce was a member of First Christian Church of Waynesburg and Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie No. 598.
Mr. Fordyce was a veteran of Worl War II. He served with the U.S. Army in the European theater.
He was a horse trainer and trained race horses at Waterford Park in West Virginia.
Two brothers, Lawrence and Wilbur Fordyce are deceased.
Arrangements were made by the Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home in Waynesburg.
