Mrs. Anderson Dies After Being Shot In February
Funeral services for Mrs. Lucille Thompson Anderson, aged 18, who died Tuesday afternoon of last week in a Pine Bluff hospital, were held Thursday afternoon at the Smith Chapel cemetery, near Kingsland.
Mrs. Anderson was shot and seriously wounded on the night of Feb. 6 near Pine Bluff. Winnifred Williams Davis of Star City, aged 29, is under $1000 bond on a charge of assault to kill in connection with the shooting in which Mrs. Anderson suffered a bullet wound in the body, it was reported here.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Cleveland county on Aug. 4, 1925, and attended school at Kingsland.
Surviving Mrs. Anderson are her husband, Johnnie Lee Anderson in the Army in England; her mother, Mrs. E. G. Johnston of Rison; a brother, Billy Thompson of Rison; two sisters, Mrs. Mable Donohoe of Kelso and Miss Lillie Bell Thompson of Oakland, Calif.
Funeral arrangements were in charge of Rufus T. Buie Mortuary.
