Julian Lee Cheney, age 74, passed away at Rigby Lake Assisted Living Wednesday, September 1, 2021.

Julian was born December 12, 1946 in Rexburg, Idaho a son to Marion S. Cheney and Alice Lee Rawls Cheney. He graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg, Idaho. He attended Ricks College before serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Central British Mission. When he returned, he attended Brigham Young University graduating with a degree in Recreational Education. He joined the Marines in 1969 and served until 1973. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. After his marriage he attended Chiropractic College and received his Doctor of Chiropractic in August 1983. He practiced in California.

He married Bambie Hendricks September 12, 1975 in the Idaho Falls, Idaho Temple. They were later divorced.

He is survived by four daughters, Kaisha (Jason) Elphick of England, Shallyn (Dan) Bartlett of St. George, Utah, Chantae Cheney of Chatsworth, California, Brianna (Justin) Clouter of Palmdale, California, and three sisters, Twila (Lew) Williams of Taylor, Arizona, Nita Hirschi of Grover, Wyoming, Nadine (Ed) Ward of Idaho Falls, Idaho, seven brothers, David (Ann) of Hyde Park, Utah, Delbert of Thayne Wyoming, Lowell (GeNeil) of Rexburg, Idaho, Darrell (Kathy) Of Rexburg, Idaho, Nolan (Mary Beth) of Livermore, California, Lynn (Cindy) of Vancouver, Washington and Mardell (Heidi) of Alpine, Utah, nine grandchildren and a good friend of the family, Kascandra Watson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Alice Cheney and two sisters, Marie Lauritzen and Doreen White.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Sutton Cemetery, 841 Sutton Cemetery, Rexburg, Idaho 83440.
