Rufus Allen Adler was born on May 12, 1910 in Nashville, Tennessee, the son of Idella Julia "Della" (Garrett) (Nichols) Adler (1880–1945) and her 2nd husband William John "W J" Adler (1858–1930).
Living at 4704 Illinois Avenue, he was little more than 9 months old when he died at home of measles and pneumonia on February 16, 1911. Burial was on February 17th in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Nashville.
