"Brother of Henry Blazer Dies after Long Illness
John Frederick Blazer, 67, died Tuesday morning at the home of his brother, Henry Blazer, east of Pleasant Hill. He had been ill for several months. Funeral services were conducted at the Brownfield funeral home Thursday afternoon by the Rev. C.H. Law, pastor of the Methodist Church. Pallbearers were Wallace Wlker, John Hoover,, William Gray, Ed Gray, Winnie Moore and Robert Hon.
Born April 5, 1875, near Creighton, Mr. John F. Blazer lived to be 67 Y 10M and 3D of age. Son of Henry and Armanda Blazer, he is survived only by his brother, Henry. He had never married and had devoted his entire life to work on the farm. He was a member of the Methodist Church."

Note: There is a stone engraved "Blazer" at Pitt's Chapel Cemetery, it is possible some or all of this Blazer family were originally buried there.
