Mrs. Beverly Rose Donley passed away on the afternoon of August 21, 2021, following a long and brave battle with Parkinson's disease. She peacefully left to join her Savior while surrounded by loved ones in her Abingdon, Illinois home. Beverly was 81 years old.

Beverly was born in Quincy on March 3, 1940, the daughter of Walter Louis and Ada Mae (Hanke) Ennen. She married Robert L. "Bob" Donley on February 28, 1959, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Quincy, Illinois. They were blessed with sixty-two years of happily married life.

Beverly grew up near Kellerville, Illinois, and enjoyed many hours riding her palomino horse, Trigger. She graduated from Central High School and finished her training as a cosmetologist at Flamingo Beauty College in Quincy. She supported her family as a devoted wife and mother. Beverly was a gifted seamstress and designer. She used her talents to establish and operate a custom western wear business, Custom Classics. Her creations have been worn by competitors in equine competitions across the United States. Beverly's creative mind and nimble fingers were not limited to the professional arena. She was proficient in producing many beautiful articles of clothing, quilts, and heirloom items for her family and friends.

She was baptized, confirmed, and attended parochial grade school at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Clayton, Illinois. She had been a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Galesburg, Illinois for many years.

Beverly will be remembered as a sweet, loving soul. She always looked for the best in any person or situation. When asked what advice about life do you want others to remember, her answer was "Always be truthful and kind." And Beverly was always truthful and kind. We will miss her presence in our lives.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Bob; two sons, Tony Donley and partner Johnny Ward of Kansas City, MO and Greg (Heidi) Donley of Cameron, IL; five grandchildren, Emma (Andrew) Franchett of Mission, KS, Joe Donley of Independence, MO, John Michael Donley of Cincinnati, OH, Chance Donley and Brandie Donley of Abingdon, IL; one great-granddaughter, Penny Franchett of Mission, Kansas; one sister, Janet Shoemaker of Quincy, IL; and brothers-in-law, Don Donley of Peotone, Floyd Donley of Huntley, and Lawrence Donley of Lemont. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bradley, in infancy; her parents and grandparents; a brother, Wayne Ennen; brother-in-law, Eddie Donley; and sisters-in-law, Julie Ennen, Esther Donley, Connie Donley, Joyce Donley, and Nancy Donley.

Cremation will be accorded. Beverly's memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 2021, at the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1372 W. Fremont St., Galesburg, Illinois with the Rev. Steve Sommerer conducting. Interment will be at a later date at Curless Cemetery, near Loraine, Illinois. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. on September 11, at the church. Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Abingdon Chapel is in assisting the family with her arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
