Deceased Name: Ronald L. Atwood

Ronald Lloyd Atwood died of cancer July 20, 2004, at his home in Renton. He was 57.

Born Oct. 4, 1946, in Minot, N.D., he attended Minot schools until 1959 when he moved to Seattle. He graduated from Rainier Beach High School in 1964 and attended Highline Community College. He served in the Marine Corps in Vietnam and was honor guard for his platoon. He earned a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Washington.

Mr. Atwood worked in environmental management since 1974.
He is survived by his daughter, Tara Dee Vincent; mother, Kathryn Atwood of Ravensdale; brother, Gregory Atwood of Covington; sister, Ladonna Camman of Yelm; and one grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Amazing Grace Lutheran Church in Seattle.
Memorials may be made to Amazing Grace Lutheran School, 10056 Renton Ave. S., Seattle, WA.

Arrangements are by Columbia Funeral Home in Seattle.
