Howard Chester Atwood was born on March 4, 199 in Renville county, North Dakota to Charles James Atwood (1864-1940) and Trienja Wichman Atwood (1887-1971). Howard was the youngest of six children in this marriage. On 13 Sep 1941, he married Kathryn M Thorson (1924-2006) in the Methodist Parsonage in Sidney, Montana. This marriage produced four children: Gregory Bruce, Ronald Lloyd, Ladonna Faye and William Charles. By 1962 the family had moved from North Dakota to Seattle, Washington. Later in life, Kathryn and Howard moved to Ravensdale, King, Washington where he spent the rest of his life.
