Youngest child of Frank Heinbuck and Mary Ella Kearns, born in Brooklyn shortly before the family moved to Connecticut.

At age 17 Linnie was working in a woolen mill in Thompson, CT where her twin older brothers, John and Frank, also worked. Likely this was about the only work available and clearly women joined men in the workforce. This was as of Jan 1920 when the Census was taken.

That April, Linnie married Eugene Bernier whose ancestors were French Canadian. Eugene worked as an auto mechanic from what I found and hopefully Linnie was able to quit her work in the woolen mill as she had her first (and only, it appears) child in 1921, Louise.

Sometime between 1920 and 1930, Linnie and her husband (and daughter presumably) joined her mother and brothers and moved to California. They ended up in the Inglewood area of Los Angeles County where Eugene continued to work as an auto mechanic. They are still there in the 1940s per that Census and Eugene's WWII Draft Registration (which notes he is now working for Kroehler Mfg (maybe Koehler, a large plumbing fixtures manufacturer) in Inglewood.

Linnie developed stomach cancer and died in 1981 at a convalescent facility in Hawthorne, CA. She was buried at Holy Cross Cemetery in Los Angeles per her Death Certificate which I ordered to ascertain her burial location. Her husband, Eugene, died in 1984 and is undoubtedly buried with her at Holy Cross.
