HILDA CAYWOOD, 102, passed away Sunday, Aug. 15, 2021. Born in Flint, Ind., Hilda was a daughter of the late Paul and Beulah Arnold.
She worked as a unit secretary with Parkview Hospital for 13 years, prior to her retirement in 1984. She was an active member at Brookside Community Church and served as a mentor to young married women. She was a longtime member of Eastern Star 576 Trinity. Hilda enjoyed crocheting, cooking, canning, and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children, Dale (Linda) Caywood, Mike (Nancy) Caywood and Diane (David) Frey; 23 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; many great-great grandchildren and great-great-great- grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Phillis Caywood.
Hilda was preceded in death by her husband, Emanuel Caywood; children, Wendell Caywood, Donald Caywood and James Caywood; three brothers, and five sisters.
Service is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at Brookside Community Church, 6102 Evard Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2021, at the church. Social distancing will be in place. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
