Lavaughn Cecile Johnson,81, a retired supervisor, died of heart failure Wednesday at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital in Jackson. Services are 11 a.m. Saturday at Baldwin-Lee Funeral Home in Pearl with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park in Jackson. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and noon-9 p.m. Friday. Mrs. Johnson was a Mize native. She was a member of Dry Creek Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She enjoyed flowers and gardening. She retired from Graduate Supply Store as a supervisor.
Survivors include: sons, Tommy Johnson of Florence, Donald R. Johnson of Terry and Glenn Johnson of Brandon; sisters, Olean S. Byrne and Lois Johnson, both of Florence, Billie J. Keen of Jackson and Birtiez Nuskiewics of Green Bay, Wis.; and 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
