Mack was born January 17, 1929 in Eli, Kentucky to the late Cornelius and Sarah Frances Stephens.
He was a long time resident of the North Georgia area and United States Navy veteran. He worked as an Audiologist and later Director of the Chattanooga Hamilton County Speech and Hearing Center for 20 years. He was the proud owner/operator of Mack Stephens and Associates for many years until his retirement. He was a long time minister of the Church of Christ and helped start and grow many area Churches of Christ. He continually ministered to them for over 50 years. He had a special love for the people of his last two congregations, Pine Top (Kentucky) and Highway 27 South Church of Christ (LaFayette, Ga) where he was a member until his death.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 66 years, Delores "Jean" Stephens.
Survivors include his children, Lynda (Art) Klee and Timothy (Lori) Stephens; grandchildren, Madeline Klee, Kayla and Matthew Stephens; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be 10 AM, Friday in the funeral home chapel with Brother Joe Gordon and Brother Edward Ledford officiating. Interment will be at Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
