Ezra was born in 1812 in New York State to Peter and Sarah Moe. He moved to Michigan state with his family as did his parents and siblings. He was one of the fist settlers of Moetown, Eaton County Michigan in 1837 later know as Brookfield along with his father Peter and brother Henry.

In 1856 he is in Fairfield,Fayette, Iowa but he doesn't stay there long and in 1862 he and his son have claimed land in Lassen county ,California.

Not making his fortune in California he moves on up to Amity,Yamhill,Oregon by 1870.

His last move was to Skamokawa, Washington where he stayed until his death in 1900.

He married Emiline McArthur January 1,1837 in Eaton County Michigan and they had children:

Alexander Buried in Skamokawa
Calista unknown
Albert Buried in LaCenter, Washington
Clarence Buried in Portland, Oregon
Philitus unknown

and and son and daughter that died as infants.

Ezra was my Great Grandfathers brother..
