Ottumwa Resident 88 Years Is Dead
Mrs. Alla Hill, 88, of 831 Wabash avenue, died Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at the Rest Haven nursing home.
The daughter of Phillip and Nan Conley, she was born October 29, 1858, in Ottumwa, where she has lived all her life. She was a member of the old Main Street Methodist church.
She was preceded in death by one son, Wren, in 1892; and by her husband, Thomas, in 1893.
Mrs. Hill is survived by one son, Ray Hill of Ottumwa; three daughters: Mrs. Bella Riley of Ottumwa; Mrs. Della Denny of Brighton and Mrs. Hazel Yeager of Moline, Ill.; and one brother, Sherman Conley of Los Angeles, Calif. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren.
The body is at the Johnson funeral chapel awaiting completion of funeral arrangements.
