Mr. Allen was born in Gulfport to Alma Bond and Henry Aaron Allen. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Korea. When his kids were growing up, he coached minor league baseball, little league baseball, and football. He was an electrical contractor and enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his nephews and friends. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and was dedicated to their activities, and he will be remembered as a loving, family man.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Diane LaFrance; daughter, Mary Michaelean Allen; brothers, Junior Allen, Bob Allen, and Jerry Allen; sisters, Juanita Hammons, Shirley Cuevas, and Norma Jean Collins.
He is survived by his children, Richie Allen (Amanda) and Georgeanne Badurak (Teddy); sister, Alice Mae Lewis; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; his loving companion of five years, Virginia Spencer Kuntz; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, August 10, 2021, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Long Beach, at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held one hour prior.
Burial with military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
