Mabel L. Keleher, 72, 104 Market St., died Thursday, Sept. 7, 1989, in a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, with the Rev. Richard Sitzman officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. Sunday, with a rosary at 7 p.m., at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Mrs. Keleher, the former Mabel L. Davis, was born Nov. 7, 1916, in Onawa, Iowa. She married Edward G. Keleher Aug. 20, 1931, in Dakota City, Neb. She lived on a farm near Danbury, Iowa before coming to Sioux City in 1953. She was a surgical technician at St. Joseph Hospital for many years. She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. Survivors include her husband; six sons, Edward, Ronald and Charles, all of Sioux City,
Joseph of Lawton, Donald of Stockton, Calif., and Paul of Lodi, Calif.; two daughters, Beverly Salvatori of Sioux City and Nancy Gusse of Lodi; a brother, William, and a sister, Hazel Babbe, both of Mapleton, Iowa; 41 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ida Davis; a son, Wilbur; two brothers, Richard and Leo; a sister, Charlotte Rogge; and six grandchildren.
