Agnes Gladys Burkhardt Joyce, age 82, of Milton, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at River Terrace Health Campus in Madison, Indiana. She was born September 18, 1938 in Milton, the daughter of Kenneth W. and Gladys Melvina Jones Burkhardt.
Mrs. Joyce was a 1956 graduate of Madison High School and retired from the operations department at Indiana-Kentucky Electric Corporation, Clifty Creek plant in Madison after several years of service. She was a member of Mt. Byrd Christian Church in Milton and attended North Madison Christian Church in Madison. Her interests were all about her grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Darla and Lee Via of Milton; two sons and daughters-in-law: Jeff and Lynn Joyce of Milton, and Kenny and Kathy Joyce of Madison; three sisters: Betty Lichlyter, Jackie Hudson and her husband Glen, and Nancy Gaines and her husband, John, all of Milton; one brother, Kenneth Burkhardt and his wife, Reva of Milton; five grandchildren: Allison Joyce, Kassie Hodge, Katie Via, Michael Joyce and Sarah Liddle; and four great grandchildren: Arlie and Bodhi Hodge, and Nora and Ava Liddle.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Ellis Garner Joyce and Leland Bridgewater; and one daughter, Tracy Joyce.
Pastor Robbie King will conduct funeral services.
Private interment will be in Moffett Cemetery in Milton.
