TOPSAIL ISLAND — Mrs. Wilma Ray Stertz, 78, died Monday, April 12, 1999 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, Wilmington.
Memorial service is 11 a. m. Thursday at Surf City Baptist Church, Surf City with the Rev Don Horn officiating. Visitation is 10:30-11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Stertz was a native of Gaston County, a daughter of the late Robert and Josie McCurry Ray, a former resident of Cincinnati, OH., member of Surf City Baptist Church and a beloved wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Frank Stertz; sons and daughters-in-law Lamar and Brenda Ashe and Buddy and Flicka Ashe, Gastonia; stepson and wife Frank Jr. and Rose Stertz and stepdaughter and husband Connie and Tom Robinson, Cincinnati OH; sister and brother-in-law Betty and Bob Schwarzer, Jacksonville; granddaughters, Laura A. Glaser, Jamestown, Reagan and Rynn Ashe, Gastonia; step-grandchildren, Tina and Tony Stertz, Tommy, Jeff and Mike Robinson, Cincinnati, OH., step-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews, including Terry Hollander and wife Joanie and their four children, Cincinnati OH.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center, 1406 Physicians Dr. Wilmington, N.C. 28401.
