Mrs. Ruby Ray Evans, 62, of 906 Bessemer City Rd., died Monday in a local nursing center.
She is survived by seven sisters, Mrs. Josephine Sosebee, Mrs. Carrie Chapman and Mrs. Alice Ray, all of Gastonia, Mrs. Betty Swatzer of Wilmington, Mrs. Wilma Stertz of Loveland, Ohio, Mrs. Lillie Boone of Kings Mountain and Mrs. Hester Clark of Belmont and one brother, William A. Ray of Gastonia.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. today at Ward Funeral Home by the Rev. Guy Walker. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery.
