Valentine is buried in John Milton Woolley's family lot, Block 199, Lot 2, Spaces 1 - 8. His son Carl Jefferson Combs Sr., Carl's wife Daisy Bird (Woolley) Combs and their son Billy Gene (Dean) Combs, and Daisy's sister Eva Dean (Woolley) Starr and her mother Rosa (Roberts) Woolley are also buried here. Eva is in space 7.

He had lived in Kaw City, Kay County, Oklahoma most of this life but after suffering a cerebral hemorrhage about April 1950 he stayed with his son Carl in Ponca City for about 14 months until his death.

'They were originally buried at the cemetery in old Kaw City, OK. But when the Army Corps of Engineers were building the Dam for the new Kaw Lake, and getting ready to flood old Kaw City, they moved the graves of Volley and Carrie Combs to the Woolley Family Lot in the Blackwell cemetery. I am the daughter of Billy DEAN Combs, Samanthia "Sammy" Lou Combs Warren.'

Valentine's newspaper obituary shows he was buried in Blackwell IOOF cemetery. I verified with the cemetery that Caroline is on record at White Chapel Memorial Gardens cemetery in Wichita, Kansas. Rick Voight.

Blackwell Cemetery is also known as IOOF Blackwell Cemetery , Odd Fellows Cemetery , Roberts-IOOF Cemetery.
