Evelyn June Cummings, 92, of Independence, MO passed away on October 19, 2020.
June was born in Cainsville, MO on August 1, 1928. She was one of six children born to Walter & Bonny (Brower) Bain. In 1943, she married John Wesley Cummings and together they had two sons, Danny and John "Randy". In 1951 she and John moved to Independence, MO. Evelyn worked in many capacities throughout the years. She worked at the Lake City Ammunition Plant, the Independence Sanitarium for 20+ years, and finally the Waldo Avenue Baptist Church, where she was a member and worked in the daycare for close to 25 years. Evelyn loved cats, Elvis and country music. Above all else, she loved her family.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ori, Roy and Russell "Pete" and her sisters, Inez "Hebie" and Graci. Her survivors include her sons, Danny (Lisa) Cummings and Randy (Michelle) Cummings; one grandchild, Shay Cummings and numerous nieces and nephews
