Bailey R. Grissom , Age 84 of Joplin, Missouri passed away Wednesday July 7, 2021 at his home with family.
Bailey was born January 31, 1937, in Joplin, Missouri to John and Bessie Grissom. He served 8 years with the Navy Reserve. Bailey was a lifetime area resident of Joplin, Mo. He graduated from Joplin High School 1955. And worked for Atlas Powder in Duenweg, Missouri. He was a member of Harmony Heights Baptist Church.
He Married Donna (Dollins) Grissom on April 21, 1955 she passed away September 26, 2020.
He is survived by his 3 sons, Danny Grissom and his wife Shirley, of Waco, Missouri, Steve Grissom and his wife Mary , of Webb City, Missouri. And Kevin Grissom and his wife Casey, of Duenweg, Missouri. And numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, two brothers Robert Grissom, and wife Dottie, of Chetopa, KS, and Ronald Grissom, and his wife, Debra, of Joplin; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter , Sherry Grissom and two brothers , James Grissom; and Charles Grissom and two sisters, Jeanne Alford, and Dorothy Thomas. And his pal Wally Dog.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday July 12, 2021 at Mason–Woodard Chapel with Rev. Charlie Burnett, officiating. Burial will follow at Ozark Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at the mortuary.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
