Geraldine V. "Deanie" Oller, 78, Spivey, Kan., died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2007, at the Golden Living Center in Wellington. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at the Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Harper Chapel. Chaplain Dan Floyd will officiate. Interment will be in the Duquoin Cemetery in Duquoin, Kan. Friends may call at the funeral home until 5 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday.

Born June 18, 1929, on the family farm in rural Argonia, she was the daughter of Ray and Gertrude "May" (Brown) Oller. She was a homemaker and formerly worked at the F&D Restaurant and Kingman Hospital.

Survivors include her sons, Ray Oller, Park City, and John Oller, Arkansas City; daughter, Anna Smithhisler, Anthony; brother, Hiram Medlam, Argonia; sisters, Marguerite Stricker, Great Bend, and Betty Medlam, Anthony; seven grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leland Oller; her parents; five brothers, Alvin, Olen, Melvin, Carl and Harold; three sisters, Mary Ann Medlam, Fern Kinney and Helen Olmstead.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Prairie Rose Funeral Home, Harper.
Geraldine Vera"Deanie" Oller was born June 18, 1929 on the family farm south of Argonia, Kansas, daughter of Ray and Gertrude "May" (Brown) Medlam. Shortly after she was born, the family moved to a farm south of Freeport, where she was raised. She atended Scool at Argonia and graduated from Argonia High School in 1947.
After high School she went to work at Penneys. During this time she was introduced to Leland Oller. They dated for awhile before uniting in marriage on April 10, 1955 at Harper,Kansas. This union was blessed with three children: Ray, John and Anna.
Leland and Geraldine lived on a farm southeast of Medicine Lodge until 1959. They then moved to Spivey, Kansas where they spent the rest of their married life together. Leland passed away on June 4, 1985. Geraldine continued to live in Spivey and went to work at the F & D Restaurant and the Kingman Hospital until retiring in 1994.
In 1998, Geraldine moved to Harper until 2000, when she moved to Ark City. In 2002, she moved into the Golden Living Center in Wellington, where she passed away on October 31, 2007. at the age of 78 years, 4 months and 13 days.
She will be deeply missed by her two sons: Ray Oller and wife Dixie of Park City, John Oller and wife Cathy of Ark City; her daughter, Anna Smithhisler and husband Larry of Anthony; her 7 grandchildren, 3 step grandcildren, 5 great grandchildren and 2 step great grandchildren, all of which she cherished, loved and adored greatly; one brother Hiram Medlam of Argonia; two sisters, Marguerite Stricker of Great Bend and Betty Medlam of Anthony; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Aside from her husband, Geraldine was also preceded in death by her parents; five brothers; Alvin, Melvin, Olen, Carl, and Max; and three sisters: Fern Kinney, Helen Olmstead and an infant sister, Mary Ann.
