Sadie Bevins
SIDNEY, Ky. — Sadie (Smith) Bevins, 88, of Sidney, died at 3:10 a.m. today, Monday, Oct. 27, 1986, at her residence following a lingering illness.
Bora May 27, 1898 in Pike County, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Jim and Beuna Smith.
A member of the Mt. Pleasant Regular Baptist Church of Sidney for over 48 years, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Bevins; four brothers and a sister.
Survivors include four sons, Irvin Bevins and Estil L. "Breezy" Bevins, both of Williamson, Ernest L. Bevins of Logan and Tom Dick Bevins of Sidney; three brothers,
George Smith and Lacy Smith, both of Sidney, and Dona Smith of Hardy, Ky.; two sisters, Lola Hunt of Pikeville, Ky. and Etta May of Hardy; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Ky.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. tonight. Special services will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. this evening.
The body will be taken to the Mt. Pleasant Regular Baptist Church Tuesday evening.

BELFRY, Ky. — Funeral services for Sadie (Smith) Bevins, 88, of Sidney, Ky. will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 29, 1986, at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Pleasant Regular Baptist Church at Sldney with Elders Grover Adkins and Hiram Adkins officiating.
Burial will follow in the Smith Cemetery at Sidney with grandsons serving as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the church after 5 p.m. this evening. Special services are planned for 7:30 p.m. tonight.
Rogers Funeral Home of Belfry, Ky. is in charge of arrangements.
