SPURLING RITES HELD WEDNESDAY
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, October 8, for W.M. Spurling, who died at his home Monday morning after suffering for several months from a serious illness. Rev. Burton Root was in charge of the service at Higley's Mortuary and interment took place in the Evergreen Cemetery at Everett.
Spurling was born June 26, 1873 in Eastern Tennessee. He came to Washington (?)3 years ago, fifteen years were spent in Everett and most of the remaining time he lived in Skagit Valley. He is survived by his wife, six sons, Arthur Spurling of Everett, Edwin, Earle, Howard, Glenn and Earnest of this city, and seven grandchildren.
