PRICE-Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and longtime friend, Fern Fillmore Burton Hatch, 91, passed away June 15, 2021 at Pinnacle Care & Rehabilitation Center where she resided for the past eight years.

Fern was born January 10, 1930 in Payson, Utah to William Rosland and Pearl Curtis Fillmore.

Fern met the love of her life George W. "Bill" Hatch while they were both working at BYU. They married on June 25, 1971 in Montrose, Colorado where they lived outside of Ouray, Colorado at Camp Bird Mine. Bill worked at the mine as an electrician for eight years. Thereafter, they moved from Camp Bird Mine to Price, Utah where Bill was a mine electrician for five years for Arch Coal. Together they worked alongside each other while managing the Wedgewood Villa in Price for 10 years. They worked there semi-retired for four more years, eventually retiring in January of 1997. Fern and Bill spent five years volunteering as temple workers at the Manti Temple. Bill and Fern's marriage was solemnized in the Provo Temple on August 7, 1985; Bill preceded her in death on April 9, 2017.

Fern is survived by her children, David Burton, Price, Lynn Taylor Lemon, Ogden, Gordon Burton and Patty Seifert, Farson, WY, Raymond Burton and Robina Bwoye, Elk Grove, CA; brother, Ross C. Fillmore, Saint George; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her son, Michael and daughter, Candice.

Graveside service, Friday, June 18, 2021, 10:00 a.m., Price City Cemetery. Family will receive friends at Mitchell Funeral Home Thursday evening from 7:30-8:30 p.m. and Friday morning from 9:00-9:45 a.m. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net
