Townsley, Barbara Jean 3/20/1935 - 5/10/2021 Of Grass Lake, MI, passed away May 10, 2021 at home with her family. She was cared for by Nurse, Robin Finch and CHPNA, Charlie Cole of Elara Caring.
She is survived by her son, Marshall (Teri Ollila) Townsley; grandchildren, Amy (Charlie) Cole and Matthew Townsley; great grandchildren, Logan Cole, Brooklyn Cole and Emma Townsley; sisters, Janet (Gaylen "Bud") Larson and Eleanor "Ellie" Trebilcox; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marshall E. Townsley; brother, Steven J. "Buddy" Benedick Jr. and brother in law, Hal C. Trebilcox.
Barb was Maize and Blue all the way. She retired from the University of Michigan hospital after many years of service. She loved U of M football games and enjoyed season tickets for many years. She was a member of the Napoleon United Methodist Church, she took her Walk to Emmaus in 1998.
A small family memorial service will be held at Napoleon United Methodist Church, June 11, 2021 at 1 pm. Graveside Committal to follow at Washtenong Memorial Park, Ann Arbor. A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held the following day, Sat. June 12, 2021, at the home of her son.
