Nellie Pearl Capps Phillips, 94, of Princeton passed away at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield on Friday morning, July 10, 2020. She was born July 21, 1925 to the late Atlas Daniel Capps and Viola Daughtry Capps. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Ralph Phillips. The funeral will take place on Sunday, July 12, 2020 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Shawn Willis and Reverend Dennis Pollock officiating. The burial will follow the service in Progressive Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 12, 2020 from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.

Mrs. Phillips was a member of Progressive Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School for 46 years, and was also a life long member of the choir.

She is survived by a son, Tom Pilkington of Princeton; sister, Elsie Baker of Princeton; two grandsons, Shane Pilkington and wife, Jessica of Princeton and Brian Pilkington and wife, Ann of Princeton; and one great granddaughter, Katelyn Pilkington.

Although flowers are welcome the family suggest contributions be made to Progressive Presbyterian Church at 3790 Progressive Church Road, Princeton, NC 27569
