JOSEPH'S OBITUARY
Princeton - Joseph Henry Capps, age 85, died Sunday morning, March 9, 2014 at his home. Born January 10, 1929 in Johnston County to the late Atlas Daniel "Pete" and Viola Jane Daughtry Capps, he was preceded in death by brothers, Walter Franklin Capps, Charlie Capps, Leroy Capps and Carl Dan "Toddie" Capps and sisters, Lillie Casey, Jessie Mae Nichols and Linda Braswell. Joe was a retired farmer and carpenter and long-time member of the Grace Baptist Church in Princeton.Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Grace Baptist Church with the Rev. Eugene Worley, the Rev. Stewart Coffman and the Rev. Worth Worley officiating. Burial will be at 10:00 Wednesday in the cemetery at Grace Baptist Church.Surviving are his wife, Sarah Kathlene Worley Capps; sons, Donnie Capps and wife Georgene of Princeton, Ray Capps and wife Vendylon of Winchester, KY and Terry Capps and wife Christal of Four Oaks; daughter, Renee Capps Rhodes and husband Alan of Princeton; brother, Roger Capps of Princeton; sisters, Nellie Phillips and Elsie Baker both of Princeton; 12 grandchildren, Kevin Capps, Phillip Capps, Heath Capps, Amie Daughtry, Angela Jones, Michael Capps, Lisa Capps, Pamela Grady, Joey Harris, Chrystal McDonald, Jonathan Langston and Amanda Langston and 15 great grandchildren, Calleigh Myers, Sophie Myers, Cullin Capps, Caroline Capps, Noah Capps, Abby Capps, Conner Capps, Raylon Capps, Riley Capps, Spencer Woodard, Averie Daughtry, Jacob Jones, Jared Jones, Jonathan Langston and Daphane Langston.The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. just prior to the service and for a short time immediately following the service.Flowers are acceptable or memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Baptist Church Missions Fund, 220 Barden Street, Princeton, NC 27569.
