Billy R. Young, 80, passed away at 4:45 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2006 in Fort Collins, Colo.
There will be no funeral services. Cremation rites were observed in Fort Collins, Colo.
Mr. Young was born on February 23, 1926, in Mermac, Okla., the son of Jacob and Ollie (Walker) Young. He married Alice Henderson on September 14, 1951 in Fairfield.
He was aa World War II veteran. He served in the U.S. Navy and was stationed in the Philippines.
Mr. Young is survived by his wife, Alice Young; daughter, Louise Young of Olney; son, Billy Young of Fort Collins, Colo.; sisters, Wanda Taylor of Olney, Patricia Gallion and her husband, Curt of Chnnahon, Connie Hosselton of Clay City, and Karen Miller and her husband, Jim of Noble; grandson, Michael Young of Fort Collins, Colo.; granddaughter, Amanda Armstrong and her husband, Nick of Fort Collins, Colo.; four great-grandchildren, Adrian, Antonio, Joshua and Savannah Armstrong; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Alton Dale "Sonny" Young; a nephew, Jeffrey Gallion; and great-nephews, Dalton and Dylan Hosselton.
