Wanda J. Taylor, 87, of Olney, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Wanda was born November 12, 1928 in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jacob Lee and Ollie (Walker) Young.

She married Thomas T. Taylor III on May 8, 1948. He preceded her in death on July 23, 1957.

Wanda arrived in Richland County at the age of ten when her father was relocated with the Pure Oil Company. Her family lived in the Pure Oil camps provided by the company for their employees. She was a devoted mother to her two children who enjoyed traveling with her family to the Ozarks and visiting relatives in Los Angeles. Wanda took pleasure in gardening and growing flowers. She also enjoyed antiquing and collecting depression glassware. She will be missed by all those that knew her.

She is survived by her son, Thomas T. Taylor IV of Olney; grandchildren, Sherrie Lyn Seals and husband Dave of Fort Worth, TX, Thomas T. Taylor V and wife Cora of Olney, Tara Lynn Chapman and husband Craig of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Matthew Tyson Taylor of Carthage, TN; sisters, Connie Hosselton and Karen Miller; nine great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, daughter, Jennie Burgener, two brothers, Billy Rex Young and Alton Dale Young, and sister, Patricia Gallion.
