"Lily" Mae Wisely Addison was born May 31, 1911 in Elkville to Leo and Gertrude (Golde) Wisely. Her surviving siblings included Orbie Bullar of St. Louis, Rachael Dunnivan of Murphysboro and Naomi Franklin of Belleville. Her parents preceded her in death.

She married Lowell White, Ward Stewart and Cleatis Addison. They preceded her in death. Her surviving children included:

Mrs. Addison worked at Tippey's Cafe for many years and had worked at the Brown Shoe Co. She was a member of the First Pentecostal Church, St. Joseph Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and Murphysboro Senior Citizens.

Mrs. Addison died at the age of 83 on Thursday, January 12, 1995 in St. Joseph Memorial Hospital in Murphysboro. Her funeral service was held at Pettett Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Worley and Rev. Phil Nordstrom officiated.
