Elizabeth Jane Curfman was the fifth child born to Samuel Henry and Mary Ann Curfman who owned a small farm on Cain's Run near Reedy, West Virginia. Her father Samuel had served in the Confederate Calvary during the Civil War. Elizabeth died after only three months and nineteen days and is buried near her parents at Good Hope Cemetery.
