Funeral services for Cecil G Scott, retired Tulsa teacher, will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Ridge Creek Baptist Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with Moore's Eastlawn Funeral Home in charge. Scott 83, died Tuesday at his home. A native of Austin, Texas, Scott taught 18 years at a school for the deaf in Council Bluffs, Iowa, before coming to Tulsa in 1951. He operated Scott Drilling Co. until 1959, when he returned to teaching. He taught the deaf and hearing-impaired at Horace Mann Junior High and Central High School retiring in 1967. He was a member of the Ridge Crest church. Surviving are his wife Mary Louise Miner Scott; four sons, Frank Earl Scott of El Paso, Texas, James Albert Scott of Caldwell, Idaho, Dr. Robert Allan Scott of Fort Gibson, and Cecil G Scott of Hattiesburg, Miss. Five daughters, Katherine Jane Bell of San Antonio, Geri Pattillo of Skiatook, Dorothy Lee Baker of Raleigh, NC, Mary Ellen Roe of Savannah, TN, and Martha Ann Cook of Atlanta; a sister, Winifred Hester of Las Cruces, N.M.; 25 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
